I recently learned that the public schools here use a reading/literacy program called Starfall. If your children are in private school or you homeschool, you might never have heard of it. I hadn’t, until a couple of weeks ago!
The website features interectave and phonetic alphabet and reading segments, songs and printables- and GAMES. It’s easily navigated by those that are not quite proficient with a mouse, and is even a great way for little ones to develop some computer skills (important to have in almost any school).
It’s self-paced and alphabet activities are a quick- 2-3 minutes per letter, I would guess. We didn’t love it our first visit, but by the third it was a big hit! It’s free and open to the public so click on over!
